01Who we are
GT Off-Road Wheels (“GT Off-Road”, “we”, “us”) is a Canadian wheel brand with distribution centres in Edmonton, Alberta, Oakville, Ontario and Montréal, Québec. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through www.gtoffroad.ca and when you contact us by email or phone.

02What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and quote requests: your name, email, phone number, city and province, your vehicle, the wheel, size and finish you're interested in, and your message.
- Warranty claims: claims are made through the dealer or shop where you bought your wheels. When they send us a claim for you, we receive the details needed to review it, such as your name, where and when you bought your wheels, your invoice, the wheel part number, odometer readings and photos.
- Dealer applications: your business name, address, phone number and website, and the name and email of the contact person.
- Sponsorship applications: your name, email, phone number, social media handle, city and province, details and photos of your vehicle, and the events you plan to attend.
- Emails and calls: whatever you choose to tell us when you write or call.
Please don't include information we don't need, such as licence plates, payment card numbers or ID documents, in photos or messages.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting and security: our website host, Cloudflare, processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the date and time. This is needed to deliver the pages, keep the site secure and block abuse.
- Website statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, see which pages are popular and check how fast the site loads. It doesn't use cookies, and we only see totals, not information about you as an individual.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or cross-site tracking, and we do not build profiles of visitors. The Instagram and Facebook feeds on our homepage come from Meta, which may set its own cookies, as explained below.
03Why we use it
We use personal information only for the purposes it was collected for:
- to answer your questions and send you quotes;
- to connect you with an authorized GT dealer, when you ask us to;
- to review dealer and sponsorship applications and manage those relationships;
- to assess and resolve warranty claims sent to us by dealers, including checking proof of purchase and arranging inspections, returns or replacements;
- to keep the business records that tax and other laws require;
- to keep the website working, secure and useful.
If we want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent first, unless the law allows it without consent.
04Your consent
When you send us a form, email or call, you consent to us using your information to respond to your request as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer, subject to legal or contractual limits. If you do, we may no longer be able to help with your request or claim.
If you are under 14, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.
07Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States. Before information is sent outside Québec, we assess whether it will be adequately protected and put contractual safeguards in place. Information held in another country may be accessible to courts and authorities there under local law.
08How long we keep it
- Questions and quote requests: up to 2 years after our last exchange, unless they lead to a purchase.
- Warranty claims and purchase records: for the warranty period, and as long as tax and business laws require (generally 6 years).
- Dealer and sponsorship applications: for as long as we work together. Applications we don't go ahead with are deleted within 2 years.
- Security logs and statistics: kept by Cloudflare for limited periods. Statistics are only kept as totals.
Form submissions are not stored on the website. They are delivered to our team's inbox. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
09How we protect it
- The whole site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, including the forms.
- Form submissions go straight to our team's inbox and are not kept in a website database. Our team's personal email addresses are not published.
- Only the people who need your information to help you can access it, and our accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step verification.
If a confidentiality incident creates a risk of serious injury, we will notify the people affected and the privacy regulators as the law requires, and we keep a register of incidents.
10Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
- withdraw your consent, or delete information we no longer need.
If you live in Québec, you can also ask us to stop sharing your information or to de-index links to it, and to receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format. We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing.
To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply within 30 days, free of charge, except for reasonable copy or transcription costs where the law allows.
11Questions and complaints
If you have a question or concern, please contact our Privacy Officer first and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact:
- the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca);
- in Québec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca);
- in Alberta, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca).
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website and business change. The new version will be posted on this page with its effective date. If the changes are significant, we will also point them out on the website.

05Instagram and Facebook feeds
Our homepage shows our latest Instagram and Facebook posts using embeds provided by Meta Platforms. The feeds load when you scroll to that part of the homepage.
When a feed loads, your browser connects directly to Instagram or Facebook. Meta can then receive your IP address, browser information and the page you are viewing, and may set or read cookies, including to link the visit to your account if you are signed in. Meta's privacy policy applies to that information; we do not receive it.
To limit what Meta receives, you can block third-party cookies in your browser settings or sign out of Instagram and Facebook before visiting. The Instagram and Facebook icons and buttons elsewhere on the site are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to Meta unless you click them.
